(WHNT) – We encourage you to download our Live Alert 19 weather app.  It’s available for iOS and Android, and it’s free.

First, the app asks you to pinpoint your location on a map, so it can send you customized alerts.  Once that’s set, you’ll see a carousel with the daily and hourly forecast, alerts, headlines, Valleywx.com blog posts, video forecasts and our interactive map.

Scroll through the carousel and tap on any item to bring it up full.

On our video, you’ll see the latest forecasts as well as a link to watch live video. This will show our newscasts and additional weather coverage we do, for example, if we’re broadcasting on the web but not the main channel.

The interactive map allows you to zoom in and out by pinching and panning, and add in layers such as radar/precipitation, satellite, temperature, storm tracks and lightning alerts.

If you want to adjust the alerts you receive, just go to the settings and customize them for what suits you.
