Tennessee This Afternoon…

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop
across mid state region this afternoon. Maximum afternoon
heat index values of 99 to 104 degrees are expected for locations
west of Cumberland Plateau Region. Across Cumberland Plateau
Region, 95 to 99 degree maximum afternoon heat index values
are expected. Drink plenty of fluids and take extra precautions
if you work or spend time outside. Also remember young children
and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles. This is
especially true on very hot days when vehicle interiors can reach
lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. For additional heat
