HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A hot and humid afternoon is underway in the Tennessee Valley; temperatures as of 4 p.m. have hit the low and middle 90s, but it feels closer to 100 degrees.
The best chance of rain exists on the eastern side of North Alabama and generally east of I-65 in Southern Middle Tennessee.
Even then, the odds of widespread rain are at best 20-30% from Madison and Marshall Counties east into the mountains.
The chance of rain increases with two waves of scattered storms on Thursday, another on Friday, and potentially two more over the weekend.
Don’t cancel your weekend plans, Pokemon catching Downtown Huntsville on Friday evening, etc. over the chance of rain.
The Street Food Gathering on Friday evening should be interesting as long as we can dodge the downpours!
