A line of strong storms has moved out after bringing heavy rain, high winds, and even some small hail across the Valley earlier this afternoon.

Storms caused scattered power outages across Madison and Morgan Counties, and winds up 60 mph took down some large trees and scattered smaller trees over roadways including portions of 431 South. Be careful driving while crews work to clear roadways and restore power.

Some lingering storms are still possible through the evening, but the severe is over. Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few isolated showers will stay through the night.

Temperatures for many are feeling much cooler thanks to the rain! Temperatures went from 92 in Huntsville down to 75 after the line of storms moved through! Expect it to be warm and muggy through the remainder of the evening.
