Scattered storms developing in the Valley Monday

Scattered storms are firing up in the Tennessee Valley Monday afternoon, creating heavy rain and lightning along and north of Highway 278 through Cullman county as well as northern Marshall county, impacting Arab as well as Lake Guntersville.

These storms are expected to produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain that may impede the ability to see while driving. With that in mind, we do anticipate the storms to remain below severe limits (ie, not producing wind gusts greater than 58 mph, and hail is not expected with these storms).
