There was an earthquake overnight in Alabama. It happened in Chilton County near Maplesville just after midnight Wednesday morning. Maplesville is 60 miles south of Birmingham.

This is a little lower on the scale and has minimal impacts. No confirmed damage so far. It was felt as far away as Alabaster and Montgomery according to the USGS.
