Why you may see a helicopter hovering in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – You may see a helicopter hovering over part of Madison County over the next three days starting this morning.

The Tennessee Valley Authority will be using a helicopter to install equipment and transmission lines in the area of Moores Mill and Winchester Roads.

The work is scheduled to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. through Wednesday.

The new transmission line will provide power to Huntsville Utilities’ Charity Lane Substation.

Authorities will be posted in the area to direct traffic.  Signs will also be posted to alert drivers.
