It’s National Coffee Day! The drink that helps many make it through their morning routine. And several retailers are offering free coffee on this national day of celebration.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Free Medium hot or iced coffee

Krispy Kreme Donuts: Free small coffee and glazed donut

Panera Bread: Rewards members have been able to get a free coffee every day of September, and that deal continues for National Coffee Day.

And Staples is getting into it with a social media contest:

Then there’s coffee giant Starbucks. The chain says it is celebrating the day, not with a free coffee, but by launching a new initiative. The “Starbucks One Tree for Every Bag Commitment” will happen over the next year. Each time someone buys a bag of coffee in a Starbucks store, a tree will be planted in a community that needs one. Starbucks is also planting 1 million coffee trees in farming communities that need help.
