Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) – Valley residents did their best to get a peek at the supermoon Sunday evening.

The combination of a lunar eclipse and a blood moon has not happened since 1982 and will not happen again until 2033.

Cloud cover prevented many of us here in the Tennessee Valley from getting a good look at the lunar event.  However, some viewers were able to get a glimpse of the super blood moon.
