HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Chick-fil-A is making some significant changes to its menu. The restaurant chain will no longer be offering the Spicy Chicken Biscuit at many locations. Instead it’ll be featuring a new item: an Egg White Grill.
As WHNT News 19 partner AL.com reported Monday, Chick-fil-A’s new breakfast entrée will be a lower-calorie option combining grilled chicken breast, grilled egg whites and American cheese on a multigrain English muffin.
“At Chick-fil-A, we’re constantly looking for innovative — and delicious — ways to meet the needs of our guests,” David Farmer, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of menu strategy and development, said in a media release.
While many may indeed welcome the new sandwich (boasting just 300 calories and 2 grams of protein) not everyone will be pleased to see the Spicy Chicken Biscuit eliminated to make room on the menu.
Chick-fil-A said individual markets will decide whether they’ll make the change or not but, according to AL.com, “In Alabama, the Spicy Chicken Biscuit will no longer be available in the Birmingham, Huntsville and Montgomery markets, and possibly other markets.”
The Spicy Chicken Sandwich will remain on the menu.
