LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Strong storms are prompting delays for students Monday in the Tennessee Valley.
These are the schools and districts that have informed us of a delay:
- Limestone County – 2-hour delay
- Marshall Christian School – Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. Classes will begin at 10 a.m.
Limestone County School District spokesperson Karen Tucker says the district’s delay is due to power outages and storm debris partially blocking roads.
Due to partially blocked roads and power outages due to storms, all LCS will be delayed 2 hours today, Monday April 20, 2015.

Officials with Marshall Christian School say their school delay is due to a power outage. However, they say today’s scheduled field trip for students in the 1st through 3rd grade will go ahead as planned.
