DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – The area of Leighsdale Avenue from Sims Street to Lynwood Circle is so bumpy that one Decatur resident says one-time construction work has turned the potholes into something much worse.

“One time they did come and fix this one pothole but the thing was, they did it so badly that it’s actually just a big bump now so it didn’t really help anything,” said Jonathan Ransom.

Ransom has lived in this particular pothole area for 10 years.

“It’s gotten progressively worse since we’ve lived here. I have never seen the city do anything to fix the roads,” he said.
