WHNT News 19 Viewer emailed the newsroom to ask:

“Hyde Park on Hudson opened
December 7th on a limited release, but I can’t find it anywhere in our viewing area. Why hasn’t the movie made it’s way to Alabama theaters?”

To find an answer, we looked to managers at Monaco Pictures. They say that huntsville was not one of the markets chosen by the distributor for the release.
Hyde Park is only currently out in approximately 250 screens.
For a little perspective, it usually takes a movie releasing on 400 – 800 screens for it to make it to the Huntsville market.
Most films open at 3,000 screens, and major blockbusters usually open at 5,000 or more.
