Before I start this column, I want to take a moment to revel in the unseasonably cool summer temperatures.

Ok, I’m fine now.

Speaking of temperature, we found a product called Hot Booties.  For those of you who have your mind in the gutter you can stop now.

Hot Booties is a pair of slippers filled with linseed and lavender.   You put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and the slippers heat up.  If you want them warmer, or hotter, you warm them up in 15 second increments in the microwave.

Before we put the Hot Booties in the microwave, we registered the temperature of the booties with an infrared thermometer in the upper seventies.

After 30 seconds in the microwave, the temperature of the booties registered between 100 and 110.

But we were interested in how long the booties retained heat. After about 10 minutes, the booties were still around 100 degrees.

We like the Hot Booties and make them a Deal.
