UAH Men’s Basketball Moves To No. 3 In NABC Top 25

Huntsville, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men’s basketball climbed one spot to the No. 3 position in this week’s installment of the NABC/Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Chargers have now been in the top 10 for 11 consecutive releases of the regular season poll.
UAH has also been in the rankings overall for 34 regular season weeks which continues to be third longest stretch in the nation.
West Liberty garnes 13 of the possible 16 first place votes en route to holding the No. 1 ranking yet again, while No. 2 Metro State, UAH, and No. 4 Bellarmine all earn one first place vote, also. The top five is rounded out by Western Washington.
No other Gulf South Conference school is featured in the top 25 – though North Alabama did receive votes – and the lone South Region school to be ranked is No. 22 Tampa. Florida Southern and Rollins joined UNA and received some attention by the voting coaches.
The Chargers are off until Dec. 30 when Tuskegee visits. The next installment of the poll will come out on Jan. 8.
