AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT) – Robenson Therezie is facing eligibility issues and Auburn’s returning starter at the hybrid ‘Star’ position may not be available for the season opener and beyond.
“We’re working through some eligibility issues right now with him,” coach Gus Malzahn said. “We should know more in the near future, and when we find out, I’ll definitely let you know. But that’s all I’m going to say about that.”
Therezie was Auburn’s breakout star on defense last season, and made 57 tackles while leading the team with four interceptions and earning honorable mention All-SEC honors. He was named a member of the All-SEC second team this preseason and is on the watch list for the Bednarik Award, which goes to the nation’s top defensive player.
