Killen, Ala. (WHNT) - For the 11th year, Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club has hosted the Healing Place Charity Championship.  It's a Pro-Am golf event that raises money for the Healing Place, an organization for educating and supporting families who have lost loved ones.

Every year, Tennessee Valley's Stewart Cink returns home to organize and to play.  The other pros playing with Cink are David Toms, who was part of the first three events, Kevin Streelman, Kevin Chappell and Michael Thompson.  Every year, Cink expresses his appreciation to his fellow golfers.

"It's great others who play golf from the PGA Tour come out here and spend their time with people from my hometown," said Stewart Cink.  "It makes me feel good they continue to do that."

"I've known Stewart a long time, our kids grew up together on the Tour and they got to play with each other so that was a lot of fun for them but we all try to support each other," said David Toms.
