A two-run homerun by shortstop Chris Owings was the difference as the
Huntsville Stars fell to 1-7 in series-deciding games with a 2-0 loss
against the Mobile BayBears. The loss wasted a nice start from Starts
starter Jimmy Nelson, as he shutout out the BayBears through five
innings while giving up five hits and striking out five. After giving
up the two-run homerun to Owings in the seventh inning, LHP Dan
Meadows fell to 0-1 on the season. The shutout loss was the fifth time
Huntsville has been held scoreless in a game this season.

The Stars will head down to Hoover, Alabama to begin a three-game
series with the Birmingham Barons starting Sunday. First pitch is at
4:00 PM.
