Huntsville, Ala. - (WHNT) Earlier this week, a federal agency in Chicago ruled in favor of the former Northwestern football players who seek to unionize their sport. The ruling effectively categorizes college football players as university employees, who can seek benefits and even pay checks. Northwestern plans to appeal and even if upheld the decision only effects private schools, but some feel like public universities are next. Former Alabama head coach gene Stallings was not happy when he heard the news, and had no problem explaining why during a visit to Huntsville.
