With the winless Bengals beginning preparations for a pivotal Week 3, Taylor also noted it has yet to be determined whether Burrow, who initially injured his calf at the start of training camp, will practice. If he does, the 26-year-old isn’t expected to log a full session, with soreness reportedly an issue.
“Giving him time is best,” Taylor told reporters, per Cincinnati’s WLWT.
While Burrow’s health remains firmly up in the air, it’s worth noting he managed to participate fully in all three practices ahead of Week 2. Of course, based on Taylor’s remarks, it seems possible the franchise QB could very well miss a crucial early-season game, leaving backup Jake Browning to step in.
After a rough Week 1 performance, Burrow finished last Sunday’s game with 222 yards on 27-for-41 passing, two touchdowns and one interception.
