Hoover, Ala. (WHNT) - Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard summed it up.

"You know day one of the SEC Tournament, you got Alabama and Auburn, it doesn't get any better than that."

That is, unless you're an Auburn fan.

The Tide's 6-3 win over the Tigers featured an eighth-inning rally by Alabama.  It's giving Alabama momentum, and Auburn a possible death-blow to the season.

"We're really pretty comfortable playing from behind like we did today," said Gaspard.  "It's one thing the guys have been doing all year. they continued to have good at bats and continued to fight."

"I'm really proud of our team the way we finished up the season, winning three tough conference series," said John Pawlowski, Auburn head coach.  "Ole Miss, at Florida and Arkansas.  I thought our guys did a great job of making a late season run and i feel like we did enough to make it to the NCAA tournament."
