Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) - Fresh off its first Regional title in the team's history, the 18-year-old group of the Rocket City Volleyball Club is gearing up for Nationals in Dallas at the end of June.

This group is comprised of some of the top volleyball talent in the Tennessee Valley.  Many have already earned athletic scholarships or state titles in high school, but to win a National tournament would be really special.

"We won the Regional tournament for the first time and that was amazing, best volleyball game I've ever played in my life," said Jale Hervey, RCVC outside hitter and middle blocker.  "But to win a national championship, I'll be on top of the world."

"It would be amazing, it would be like winning five state titles in school for one national, it's just great, I'm so excited," said Lexie Bradley, RCVC outside hitter.

"We've accomplished a lot over the last three years," said Rose Magers-Powell, RCVC head coach.  "This team has made it to the national championships three times a row. That's been great, now it's time to win that championship."

That tournament happens June 28th-July 1st.
