Al.com reports the female accuser in the fight that led to former Alabama defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor being arrested on domestic violence charges Saturday has recanted her accusations, according to a report from the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

Taylor was cut from Alabama’s team on Sunday following the incident. He was charged with domestic violence and criminal mischief, both in the third degree.

Police say the accuser initially told them he hurt her neck and damaged her apartment.

Al.com reports she contacted police on Monday to recant her story.

Police say the woman is charged with filing a false report to law enforcement.

Taylor’s charges will be reviewed at a later time, Al.com reports.
