Priceville, Ala. - (WHNT) After going 4-6 in 2013 the Bulldogs feel like defense is the key to turning things around in Priceville. The team scored right around 30 points a game last season, but that rarely translated to a win. Head Coach Dirk Strunk knows his defense must be better if a playoff run is in his near future.

"One of the big things we faced was that we scored points, but we gave up too many points too go along with it.  When you are averaging thirty plus points a game and you're only winning four games, thing have to be done.  We are really focused on being a better tackling team," Strunk reported to WHNT News 19's Chase Horn at a practice in Priceville.

The Bulldogs must also continue to improve on offense after losing Ben Patterson to graduation. Patterson accounted for 21 touchdowns in 2013 and will be sorely missed. Look for Priceville to be a much more balanced team come the opener on August 29th against West Morgan.
