Pisgah, Ala. - (WHNT) Shawn Peek's First year is Pisgah was not easy. The Eagles went 3-7 but and missed the playoffs, but after an entire off season in the program, Peek feels like his team is ready for a breakout season.

"We are in our second year there, so in that second year the kids are a lot more familiar with what we are trying to do. Coaches are all in their second year so we are looking for big improvement," Peek said at FCA Media Day. His players agree this season should be more successful. "Last year we didn't have the year we wanted to, and you know Pisgah has been in kind of a slump," senior Slade Culpepper said. "We are just trying to get better and we are just ready to get the work out we put in."

The Eagles begin their season Friday night when Section comes to Sam Kenimer Stadium.
