New York Mets sign Tim Tebow to minor league contract

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The New York Mets have a new star in their ranks. The team has signed the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback from University of Florida to its minor league team. That’s according to the Mets Twitter page.

Tebow also played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets in the NFL.

The 29-year-old announced last month that he was thinking about starting a baseball career.
