Scottsboro, Ala. – (WHNT) Like most kids her age, Sierra Lewis enjoys a good evening at the bowling alley. However, Lewis isn’t just there to have a good time. This week she’s traveling to upstate New York for the Junior Gold Championships, which is a national tournament for the top male and female bowlers in the United States. Lewis qualified for the tournament by winning the State Pepsi Championship earlier this year and now can gain exposure for a future of bowling in college.

The Scottsboro high school junior has the chance to impress college scouts this weekend while also possible earning a spot on the Junior National Team. Click on the video player above to see her story.
