Auburn, Ala. ( Jeremy Johnson entered Auburn's A-Day scrimmage without the official title of starting quarterback or any kind of public hint that he'll be the man to take over from Nick Marshallnext season.

By the end of A-Day, Johnson looked every bit like Auburn's next quarterback.

Despite a few missed connections withD'haquille Williams early in the game, Johnson took every snap with the first-team offense and lit up Jordan-Hare Stadium in the second quarter of Team Auburn's 24-14 win over Team Tigers.

"He had real good command of our offense," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "I thought he held the ball too long on a couple of plays, but overall, I thought he did a really good job."
