Nashville, Tenn. (WHNT) - Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon spent his Wednesday afternoon in Nashville visiting with patients at the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Gordon and his foundation are working with Talladega Super Speedway to raise money for pediatric cancer research, leading up to the Aaron's 499.

Although the number 24 team is focused on this weekend's race in Texas, Gordon says he is always looking forward to what Talladega has to offer.

"Of all the places we go, nobody parties more, or has more fun than the fans at Talladega," said Jeff Gordon.  "They're just ready for a great race, they're enthusiastic and excited and fired up to see a great race."
