Battaglia, 33, and his brother, Bates Battaglia, 36, are the ‘Hockey Brothers’ on the show.  The two are originally from Raleigh, N.C.  Bates is a former professional hockey player.

Anthony Battaglia is on the current roster for the Havoc, so you’ll see him play in upcoming games.  CBS doesn’t release any information on how the various teams did prior to the shows airing, and all contestants must keep quiet about what happened.

Eleven teams will embark on a sprint around the globe for $1 million on the new season of ‘The Amazing Race,’ which premieres Sunday, Feb. 17 from 7 to 8 p.m. central time.  Phil Keoghan will return as host.

‘The Amazing Race’ has won the Emmy Award for ‘Outstanding Reality-Competition Program’ nine times in the past 10 years.

This season mars the 22nd race around the world.  Other contestants include a pair of roller derby moms, country singers, YouTube hosts, firefighters and twin OB/GYNs.

There’s another couple on the show with an Alabama connection.  Chuck and Wynona McCall are from Daphne.  Chuck is a retail manager/taxidermist and Wynona is a cosmetologist/hairstylist.  The two are married.
