Montgomery, Ala. – RB Isaiah Crowell has enrolled as a student at Alabama State and is scheduled to join the Hornet football team this fall.
Crowell, (5-11, 215) from Columbus, Ga., played the 2011 season at the University of Georgia, rushing for 850 yards on 185 carries with five touchdowns. He also caught eight passes for 59 yards and one touchdown in being named to the Coaches All-SEC Team, as well as earning freshman All-American honors. Crowell was also a three-time SEC Player of the Week.
“We actively researched Isaiah both as a person as well as an athlete,” Alabama State head football coach Reggie Barlow said. “We are aware of his current issues, but also believe in helping young people. We believe that Isaiah has learned from his circumstances and that he will be a quality student-athlete at Alabama State.”
