The first ever “Beast of the Valley” Crossfit and power lifting competition raised over $2,200 towards scholarships for local students attending Auburn University. Crossfit Nomad in Madison hosted the first event of it’s kind in North Alabama Saturday for male and female athletes alike.

Tire tossing, stone lifting, bench pressing and weight pulling among other events were all part of the competition. No prize money was awarded as all proceeds went towards the Huntsville Madison County Auburn Club who’s goal is to raise about $18,000 a year for Auburn scholarships.
