Auburn not looking past Vanderbilt

AUBURN, Ala. ( – Only three teams on Auburn’s schedule stand between an Iron Bowl with top-ranked and undefeated Alabama that could have big implications on the final SEC West standings.

At this juncture, the Tigers appear to have the upper hand against Vanderbilt (4-4), Georgia (4-4) and Alabama A&M (3-5). But as Auburn ride its five-game winning streak into the weekend, the Tigers are keeping their focus on the task at hand.

“The only thing we’ve talked about is Vanderbilt,” Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said. “We got our hands full… Hypotheticals in this league, if you look ahead in this league, you get burned. We got our hands full. Our players know that. Our coaches know it. We have not said one word about anything left in the schedule. I don’t know what everybody else is saying, but in our house, in our little room here with our coaches and players, we’re locked in on Vanderbilt. That’s it, 100 percent.”
