Auburn wins WCWS Finals Game 2 with an extra-inning grand slam to force a winner-take-all game 3

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (al.com) – Not even a seven-run deficit can stop Auburn’s softball team.

The Tigers overcame a terrible start to tie Oklahoma in Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series Tuesday in Oklahoma City before Emily Carosone’s grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning gave Auburn an 11-7 win.

The victory forced a decisive Game 3 for the national championship, which will be played Wednesday at 6 p.m. at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

Auburn lost game 1 to the Sooners Monday night, so they needed the win to force the series to continue.
