The Milwaukee Brewers and Huntsville Stars have made a couple of roster moves prior to tonight’s series opener against the Montgomery Biscuits. RHP and Southern League All-Star Evan Anundsen has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 11. RHP Jimmy Nelson has been promoted to Huntsville from High-A Brevard County.

In 13 starts with Brevard County, Nelson went 4-4 with a 2.21 ERA. He threw a nine-inning complete game on May 18 against the Fort Myers Miracle, allowing just two runs on six hits. The former University of Alabama pitcher led the Florida State League in pitching, strikeouts (77), innings pitched (81.1), WHIP (1.08), and total batters faced (330). He was selected by Milwaukee in the second round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft.

With these moves, the Stars active roster sits at 24, with five disabled and one suspended.
