
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team held its first scrimmage of fall training camp on Saturday afternoon inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The scrimmage lasted roughly 130 plays and was just over two hours in humid and wet conditions. The Crimson Tide will have Sunday off before returning for its third two-a-day of camp on Monday.
Senior quarterback AJ McCarron led the offense with 267 yards while tossing three touchdowns. Sophomore Amari Cooper caught all three McCarron touchdown passes and amassed 182 yards on four catches.
Senior C.J. Mosley and junior Jarrick Williams paced the Tide with four tackles while Mosley added an interception and broke up a pass. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix tallied three tackles, had an interception and broke up a pass.
