HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-- For the 99th time Alabama and Tennessee will duke it out on Saturday. This long-storied rivalry on the third Saturday in October has been a bit lopsided as of late though. The Tide has won nine straight over the Vols. But this showdown in Knoxville features two ranked teams for the first time since 2005.

An iconic game for both Alabama and Tennessee fans, as the teams prepare to face off in Neyland Stadium, their fans prepare to face off with each other.

"It's a huge rivalry, and both want to win, we know Alabama's won nine straight, so they want to win more and they want to smoke their victory cigars," said Chuck Facemire.

Facemire is a cigar aficionado. Lucky for him, he's also an Alabama fan. He's been able to partake in victory cigars for quite a while.

"The tradition of smoking a victory cigar is really big, it's been a tradition since Bear Bryant," said Facemire.

Tennessee fans aren't so fond of that particular tradition though. After all, it's been nine years since they've been able to light up their own cigars.

"I hate it! Mainly because Alabama always gets the cigars, but if Tennessee gets the cigars this year that would be great," said Katherine Haggard.

Haggard is a member of the North Alabama Tennessee Alumni Club. She said as a fan, this game means a lot. She thinks they have a good chance to finally dethrone Alabama.

"It would mean that we are truly on the way back up again, and that Tennessee is where it belongs in the SEC and that's one of the top teams," she said.

When asked whose going to win, both fans were pretty adamant, but we'll have to wait until Saturday to see which team comes out on top.

If Tennessee is able to put an end to yet another streak and win on Saturday, the Vols would be in prime position to win the SEC East. Which could then set up a round two of this match-up with the Tide and the Volunteers meeting again in the SEC Championship game.
