HUNTSVILLE, Ala - Merrimack Hall will be holding it's first ever "Our Votes Matter" event on Tuesday, August 16th at 5:30 pm. This event was created to allow members of the special needs community an opportunity to meet the candidates running for public office all throughout Madison County.

The event is similar to a job fair where the community can go around to multiple candidates getting to know them and what they stand for. Candidates will also have the chance to speak in the theater and talk about any issues or plans they have relating to the special needs community.

There are currently 15 candidates running for multiple positions throughout Madison County.

The event will be held at Merrimack Hall on Tuesday, August 16th at 5:30 pm and is completely free and open to the public. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the candidates' positions on special needs is welcome. For more information, go to
