HUNTSVILLE, Ala - The Old Fashioned Trade Day is coming again to the downtown Huntsville Square on Saturday, September 10th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be vendors on the Courthouse Square with various items: antiques, yard art, trinkets, tools, military antiques, Lion`s brooms & mops, books, art, sculptures, and collectibles. Hot dogs, hamburgers, curly fries, and cold drinks will be available for purchase all day. There is no admission charge and parking is free in city garages for the event.

Trade Day was started 27 years ago by the members of the Historic Huntsville Foundation (HHF) in appreciation and tribute to the legacy of the Harrison Brothers. The Harrison Brothers Store opened on the Square in downtown Huntsville in 1897 and has been in continuous operation since then. That`s about 119 years of business in Huntsville.

In 1997, the Von Braun Lions Club teamed up with HHF to sponsor Old Fashioned Trade Day. All event proceeds are returned to the community in charity donations.

So come out and sell, shop or swap. For vendor spaces call 256-852-5378 or 256-457-1152, or email haroldljackson@bellsouth.net.
