GILES COUNTY, Tenn. – A wreck on I-65 southbound just north of the Alabama/Tennessee state line killed one person on Sunday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Alisha Ambrose, 48, was killed after the vehicle she was driving hit a rock wall.
Authorities said the vehicle drove off the left side of the road, Ambrose overcorrected and went off the right side of the road, and then hit a rock wall. The vehicle then traveled back across both lanes and hit the cable barrier, according to authorities.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed Ambrose was not wearing her seatbelt.
