UPDATE: Multiple people injured in wreck on Capshaw Road

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT)- The westbound lanes of Capshaw at the Old Railroad Bed Road intersection are back open after a three-car accident.

Troopers say at least seven people are injured.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. when three vehicles collided underneath the red light at the intersection.

The truck which overturned was carrying a family of five.

Alabama State Troopers, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, HEMSI and fire crews were on the scene. It took about an hour and a half for the road to be cleared of debris.

We have reached out to law enforcement for information about the patients’ identities and conditions, but haven’t heard back yet. Check back with us here for the latest.  We’ll update the story as we gather new information.
