A Wind Chill watch is in effect for DeKalb & Jackson counties from midnight through 9 am Christmas Day. Lows tonight will drop back into the teens, though wind chills will not be as harsh as the night before.

Parts of north Alabama experienced rolling blackouts Friday. There are ways that you can help conserve energy and make sure the power grid remains stable. Some simple things you can do is avoid running your washer/dryer or dishwasher, lower the thermostat a degree or two, and keep the window coverings closed on the non-sunny side of your home.
