Officials prepare for a special election in Madison county that will decide whether we merge the tax assessor and tax collector into one position, called revenue commissioner.

Of course, to have your voice heard, you'll have to find your polling place.

You'll locate that on the Secretary of State's website: alabamavotes.gov

In the middle of the page, you'll see 'My Polling Place.'

That's where you want to go to find where you're going to vote.

It will take you to a second screen, and again, you'll want to select 'Polling Place' in the middle of the screen.

Of course, the only people who can vote this time live in Madison county, so select that from the drop down.  Put in your last name and your birthday.

It will pull up your polling place specifically for this special election.  It's even got a little map.

Happy voting!
