Update: All Students Injured In Bus Crash Released From Hospital

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - All of the students who were hurt in a bus crash Thursday in Franklin County have been released from local hospitals.

The crash happened at the intersection of Overton Farm Road and Highway 172 in the Hodges community.  Alabama State Troopers say a Chevrolet Silverado slammed into the back of it.  Thirty people were on the bus, including the driver.

Fourteen students from Vina High School were hurt -- most of them had broken bones, cuts and scrapes, according to Alabama State Troopers who spoke with us on the scene.  The driver wasn't hurt.

In all, 29 students were on the bus.

Channing Haithcock, 20, of Vina was driving the pickup truck.  He was flown to Tupelo Regional Medical Center in Mississippi.  No word on his condition.

The bus driver, Rebecca Gober, 58, of Vina, was not hurt.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
