LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Sheriff’s deputies found three bodies at a home north of Athens on Wednesday. The case began when the man who lived in the home didn’t show up for work on Monday, a man told WHNT News 19. Limestone County Sheriff’s deputies showed up at the home on the 22000 block of Black Road around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and found the three bodies; one in the backyard shed, one in the garage and a third inside the home. Deputies say they’re treating the case as a domestic violence homicide. “It’s just kind of heartbreaking,” one neighbor told WHNT News 19. “Because you think about your family in a moment of a tragedy like this.” A neighbor we spoke with said an older couple was living in this home along with their son, his girlfriend and her 9-year-old daughter. The neighbor said she saw the son walking around the property on Wednesday morning. She then left for a few hours and returned home to find Limestone County deputies in the yard and the house taped up. “It’s not an active situation, it’s not like we’re searching for anybody,” said Young. Limestone County deputies spent Wednesday searching the yard and removing items from inside the house.  They say they have a good idea what happened at the home, but aren’t saying who’s responsible. “I hope that people find peace in the situation,” a neighbor said. “It’s one of those things that you can’t imagine a person’s emotions at a certain time.” All of the bodies were adults, Young said, but so far, the sheriff’s office hasn’t released their names. Authorities said they were questioning another person who was at the home.
