KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A missing 2-year-old from Knox County has been found, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

TBI issued an endangered child alert for the toddler, Kamiyah Burnside, Wednesday afternoon.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office said Burnside was last seen in Knoxville wearing red shorts on May 14. Law enforcement believed she was with her non-custodial mother, Krystal Kawalski, and traveling in a 2016 white Toyota Camry with the Indiana tag RIPDDYI.

TBI posted an update around 9:42 p.m. stating that Burnside was found safe and Kawalski is in custody.

Charges are currently pending for the suspect, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
