LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Sheriff’s deputies have identified a teenage girl killed in a UTV wreck Wednesday afternoon.

Limestone County Coroner Mike West identified the victim as Addie Baker, 14, of Athens.

The Limestone County sheriff’s office says the rollover happened behind the home along Blackburn Road and Highway 72 around 3:30 p.m.

WHNT News 19 was not allowed onto the property. On Wednesday evening, dozens of cars and trucks were parked outside the home as friends and loved ones arrived to support the family.

“Unfortunately, these things happen and we’d like to never see them happen,” said Deputy Stephen Young. “It affects family, it affects friends, it affects co-workers and classmates. I just hope that this family can heal and that this community can come together and support them.”

Deputies are now looking into exactly how this happened but they say this is especially difficult news for the girl’s family and friends, since kids in Limestone County schools start class on Monday.
