LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. – Alabama State Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a teenager from Carbon Hill.
Troopers say the crash occurred at 2 p.m. this afternoon on County Road 236, 12 miles north of Moulton.
Authorities say the teen was killed when the Chevrolet Cobalt that she was a passenger in, left the roadway, struck an embankment and then a utility pole.
The teen was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The vehicle’s driver, who was also a juvenile, was transported to Lawrence Medical Center in Moulton.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
