GILES COUNTY, Tenn. (WHNT) – Investigators with the Giles County Sheriff’s Department reported to the Quick Stop on Highway 31 Wednesday night after a hold-up alarm went off.
Officials say the store owner told officers that a man pointed a gun in his face, demanding money. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, the man ran out of the store, hopped in a car and fled.
The thief fired his handgun multiple times as he ran to his car, according to investigators.
Deputies came up with a suspect location in Marshall County. Officials say that after talking to multiple people, they arrested Jonathan Hart, 18, of Lewisburg.
Hart was charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Robbery. He was transported to the Giles County Jail with bail set at $175,000.
