‘Bo Bikes Bama’ Brings In More Than $400K For Tornado Survivors

Bo Jackson won the 1985 Heisman Trophy as a running back at Auburn University. Nearly a dozen of his former teammates are participated in Bo Bikes Bama.

Last week, Bo Jackson led a 300-mile bike ride through tornado-ravaged communities in Alabama.  The bike ride started Tuesday, April 24  in Henagar and finished Saturday, April 28 in Tuscaloosa.  The ride raised more than $400,000 for the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund.

Several professional athletes joined Jackson on the ride, including Ken Griffey, Jr., Scottie Pippen, Al Joyner and Picabo Street.   WHNT News 19's Robert Richardson took these photos Tuesday at the start of the ride.
